Terms of Use

Conditions governing access to this website and the framework under which professional infrastructure services may be discussed or provided.

1. Operator § 1

This website is operated by Permalink (Valentin Beck), hereafter referred to as “I”, “me”, or “the Consultant”.

2. Website use § 2

This website provides general information about services offered. Content is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice, a binding offer, or a commitment to provide services.

3. No offer or guarantee § 3

Nothing on this website constitutes an offer, guarantee, or promise of availability, performance, uptime, security, or business outcome.

Any services are provided only under a separate written agreement defining scope, responsibilities, and limitations.

4. Professional services § 4

Professional services, if provided, are governed exclusively by a written agreement between the Consultant and the client.

In the absence of such an agreement, no services shall be deemed provided. Access to systems, historical knowledge, documentation, or prior involvement does not by itself constitute ongoing responsibility in the absence of an active engagement.

5. Engagement lifecycle § 5

Professional services, when agreed, follow a defined lifecycle consisting of onboarding, ongoing engagement, and offboarding. Operational responsibility begins only after onboarding is completed and ends upon confirmed offboarding or engagement termination, as defined in the applicable written agreement. View Engagement Lifecycle →

6. No SLA or insurance § 6

Services do not include service level agreements, uptime guarantees, recovery guarantees, or insurance-like protection unless explicitly stated in writing.

The Consultant shall not be liable for business losses, indirect damages, or consequential damages.

7. End of responsibility § 7

Upon offboarding or termination of an engagement, the Consultant has no further obligation to monitor, maintain, respond to incidents, or ensure system behavior.

The Consultant is not responsible for failures, incidents, or losses occurring after offboarding, including those related to conditions that existed prior to handover. View Offboarding & Transition →

8. Emergency support § 8

Emergency or ad-hoc assistance, if provided, is limited in scope and does not reinstate ongoing operational responsibility or modify prior engagement boundaries, unless explicitly agreed in writing. Emergency support is governed by the additional terms set out on the Emergency Support page.

9. Limitation of liability § 9

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Consultant shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of data, revenue, or business opportunity.

10. Third-party services § 10

Services may involve third-party providers such as hosting companies, cloud platforms, or network operators.

The Consultant shall not be liable for outages, failures, or actions attributable to third-party services outside of direct control.

11. Confidentiality § 11

Confidential information exchanged during discussions or services is governed by a separate Non-Disclosure Agreement where applicable. View NDA →

12. Intellectual property § 12

All website content, unless otherwise stated, remains the intellectual property of the Consultant. No license or right to reuse content is granted without prior written consent.

13. Changes to these terms § 13

These Terms may be updated from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page.

14. Interpretation § 14

In case of inconsistency between website content and a written service agreement, the written agreement shall prevail.

15. Governing law § 15

These Terms are governed by the laws of the French Republic, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in France.

16. Contact § 16

Questions regarding these Terms can be directed via the Contact page.
